Hey, I’m Kristyn — Rider, Manual Therapist, Strength Coach, and the Founder of Shred Strong.

I’m a licensed massage therapist and certified personal trainer based in Connecticut. I hold certifications in many modalities, including instrument-assisted soft tissue treatment, sports, nutrition, and brain-based training, meaning I offer a whole-person, holistic approach to our work together.

I have been a trainer for 17 years, a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for 10 years – and a snowboarder for the past 23 years. I love surfing pow, park, and the woods. You can also find me in the beginner area shredding with my 3-year-old daughter!

Through Shred Strong, I use snowboarding-specific strength training programs to help you become a better, more confident rider.

Following a training program specifically for your snowboarding not only levels up all aspects of your riding but works as a preventive measure for injuries – as well as the ability to bounce back quickly from one. Together, we’ll find the root cause of any pain, injury, or dysfunction in your bodily systems that’s holding you back.

I believe that recovery is just as important as the training process. Proper nutrition, stress management, sleep, and hydration are all part of the training program. The goal is to build you up, not to break you down.

Shred Strong was designed with snowboarders in mind. As a snowboarder myself, you can always feel confident that I’ll lead by example and train in a way that keeps all of you in mind. In our work together:

  • Last, but not least, I’ll do no harm, which means never pushing you beyond your breaking point and modifying our sessions to center what your body needs.
